I believe therapy begins with having a space where you can feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood. With a background in the health industry and a longstanding interest in human behaviour and wellbeing, I retrained as a counsellor with a passion for supporting Muslim women through life's challenges and transitions. My work is grounded in Islamic Psychology and Islamic principles, alongside integrative therapeutic approaches, recognising the interconnectedness of our psychological, spiritual, emotional, relational, and physical wellbeing. I offer a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space to explore your experiences, emotions, relationships, identity, and patterns, while considering the role that faith, culture, and life experiences may have played in shaping who you are. My aim is to work alongside you with empathy and respect, helping you develop deeper self-understanding, reconnect with what matters to you, and move towards greater balance, clarity, and wellbeing.
My approach is integrative and person-centred, placing your unique experiences, needs, and story at the heart of therapy. I provide therapy grounded in Islamic Psychology, recognising wellbeing as interconnected across the nafs (self/ego), qalb (heart), rūḥ (spirit/soul), 'aql (intellect), and jism (body). Alongside Islamic principles, I draw from humanistic, psychodynamic, and cognitive approaches to help you explore your emotions, relationships, patterns, beliefs, identity, and experiences with greater understanding. I offer a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where you can speak openly and feel heard, while gently exploring how your psychological, spiritual, relational, cultural, and embodied experiences connect. Where appropriate, Islamic teachings from the Qur'an and authentic Sunnah are thoughtfully integrated into the therapeutic process, supporting reflection, meaning, and a deeper connection with Allah. Together, we work towards greater self-awareness, emotional wellbeing, inner balance, and a more grounded sense of wholeness.
