About

I'm an integrative counsellor with a background in neuroscience and experience supporting adults and young people across counselling, mental health and educational settings. My work is grounded in compassion, curiosity and respect for each person's individual experiences, values and circumstances. I offer a warm, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can explore what is troubling you, develop a deeper understanding of yourself and work towards meaningful change at your own pace. I recognise that our emotional wellbeing can be shaped by relationships, family, culture, faith, identity and wider life experiences, and I aim to approach each person with sensitivity and openness.

How I work

My approach is integrative and person-centred, drawing on humanistic, psychodynamic and cognitive frameworks. This means that I adapt our work to your needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. Together, we may explore your emotions, thoughts, relationships, patterns of behaviour and past experiences, while considering how these may influence your present life. I place importance on building a trusting therapeutic relationship in which you feel heard, respected and able to reflect honestly. Where relevant and appropriate, I am also able to explore the relationship between psychological wellbeing, spirituality, faith and personal values. You remain the expert in your own experience, and our work will be collaborative and guided by what feels meaningful and helpful to you.
